Qasim ibn Muhammad ﷺ
Qasim ibn Muhammad ﷺ was the eldest son of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He passed away at the young age of 3 and was buried in Jannat al Mualla in Makkah.
In Arab culture, people are often referred to by their child’s name, which is why Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was called Abu al-Qasim.

At the age of 14, Ruqayya رضي الله عنها married Uthman bin Affan. It is said that Ruqayya رضي الله عنها passed away on the same day the Muslims won the Battle of Badr and was buried in Jannat ul Baqi.

One year after her sister Ruqayya’s رضي الله عنها death, Umm Kulthoom رضي الله عنها married Uthman bin Affan رضي الله عنه at the age of 21. She fell ill six years after her marriage, passed away, and was buried in Jannat ul Baqi.

Fatimah رضي الله عنها passed away six months after the death of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ at the age of 27. It is widely believed that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ loved Fatimah رضي الله عنها the most among all his children. She is buried in Jannat ul Baqi.

Abdullah, like his brother Qasim who died at age 3, passed away in infancy. He was buried in Jannat al Mualla in Makkah.

Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ﷺ
Ibrahim رضي الله عنه was the third son of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ born to Maria Qibtiya رضي الله عنها, who was a concubine. It is believed that Ibrahim رضي الله عنه passed away on the 10th of Rabi ul Awwal, just two days before the death of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Ibrahim رضي الله عنه is also buried in Jannat ul Baqi. On the day of Ibrahim’s death, there was a solar eclipse. People thought the eclipse occurred because of Ibrahim’s death, but Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or birth of someone. When you see the eclipse, pray and invoke Allah.” – Sahih al-Bukhari 1043
